Congratulations! You made the decision to become a member of Young Living & start your Essential Oils journey – the first step is always the hardest, and you took it – amen to that!
In your hands you now wield a powerhouse of wellness:
- 12 essential oils,
- Thieves cleaner,
- Ningxia Red, and to top it all off,
- A free diffuser!
To get the most value from your purchase, there are few items that I recommend to jump-start your adventure:
A carrier is a fatty oil (contains lipids), usually made of vegetables or nuts. Carrier oil is what we typically think of as “oil” – it’s fatty and often used for cooking or skin care.
Carrier oils dilute essential oils – this can be useful for a variety of reasons:
- To make sure an essential oil (EO) is comfortable on the skin
- When using essential oils for children & babies (or pets), or
- Simply to make an EO last longer!
Be sure when deciding which carrier oil is right for you it is important to choose a high quality, organic oil.
Pro Tip: If the carrier oil is not high quality, the essential oil that you mix it with will start pulling toxins out of the carrier oil.. and we do not want this result.
This is a blend of the highest quality, organic coconut oil, sesame seed oil, grape seed oil, sweet almond oil, whet germ oil, sunflower seed oil & olive oil.
What I love about it is that I don’t have to worry about quality, or which carrier oil to use. Since this one contains almost all of them, I can benefit from each of their unique properties. It also comes with a convenient pump, that makes using this carrier oil mess-free.
In addition to the carrier oil above, I like to have a tub of coconut oil always at hand. Coconut oil is great for many DIYs as well cooking and baking. I love to get mine here
Pro tip: if you ever have a situation where a hotter oil, like peppermint for example, inexplicably finds its way into your eye (or other sensitive area); this stuff will cut the heat in a matter of seconds (never use water).
This is going to come extremely handy for any DIYs that you will want to make, but most of all it is a MUST for Thieves Universal Cleaner.
I usually order these from Amazon
If you want to learn how to make Thieves Cleaner from the packet that came in your kit, check out the video I made here.
These are amazing. Whenever you want to make your own custom blend, dilute an essential oil with a carrier oil to make it comfortable on your skin or if you’re planning on using EOs on your little ones.
Roller bottles are very easy to make, use and travel with! They come in all sizes, shapes & colors. Some even come with crystal roller balls or they have crystals inside them. You can also get very plain ones on Amazon.
These are extremely practical. You can pop them directly onto the essential oil bottle, and start using is straight away.
A great idea is to recycle your empty essential oil bottles as roller bottles once you have these little roller ball fitments!
Quick, practical and small enough to carry with you anywhere.
These are great for taking oils internally that might otherwise be a little too strong on the palette. I love making my own blends to support immunity, digestion or any other function of the body!
There are plenty of great recipes out there, and making capsules is super simple. You just open one up, add essential oils (I like to add a little bit of coconut oil in mine too) close it up and you’re done!
Pro Tip: If you’re making capsules ahead of time, remember to freeze them. Otherwise the essential oils will disintegrate the capsule over time.
Great for homemade soaps, dish soap or adding to Thieves when washing floors…or anything else! This is one of the few “good soaps” out there.
You’re all set!
